KL Youth Soccer
(KLYS) is a parent-volunteer, not for profit organisation. Our purpose is to enrich the opportunities available for young people in the community to play more matches and improve the standard of play, teach team spirit and good sportsmanship in a competitive environment.
Committed Players
Boys from ages 7 to 18 play in 5 age groups – U18, U15, U13, U11, U9. They come from 15 local and international schools and represent 25 different nationalities.
Players train thrice a week. Many also play for their school’s football teams and receive extra training at their school.
Dedicated Coaches
The KLYS coaching team is comprised of professionals from Argentina, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, England & France.
Tournaments & Matches
KLYS holds at least 3 of its own tournaments each year. It sends teams to Gothia Cup in Sweden, and to local and regional tournaments like SEACup, Bangkok Cup, RSC 7’s, PKNS, YFA Cup. Some players represented Malaysia and Selangor State in junior football tournaments, and some were invited to try out for youth and senior European teams.
