Update from Japan

All going well here - but we underestimated the wind chill factor and Maebashi is famous for being a very windy city! Boys holding up well - the Japanese teams nearly all from "real" J league clubs youth set ups and extremely high standard - although on another day KLYS may have won 3 of the matches, not just one. RSC have been beaten with double figures every game - last we saw they were on minus 66 goal difference from 4 games - which sort of pouts it all into perspective - we are so lucky that Coach Luis and Coach Mak realised the standard of the Japanese teams and pushed the boys to prepare with extra training - just a pity not all our boys were able to commit to all our sessions. Food is fine - first day all Mat Saleh boys only ate white rice and didn't touch the japanese dishes! (Malaysian boys all ate ok!) Yesterday they had chicken in a bun and everyone ate! The Japanese mums have been wonderful - we owe them such a big Thank You - we would be lost without them! (Literally!!) Been busy with boys knocks and scraped knees etc - unfortunately Hannu's back also playing up - so keeping me on my toes, too! Hope all well in KL We're apparently first in the Plate so far - fingers crossed all goes well today! Hannah Pearson Abdullah

As our U13 prepares for their trip tonight to participate in the Gunma Challenge Cup 2012 in Maebashi, Japan we want to wish Coach Luis, Coach Mak and the 16boys plus 5parents a safe and happy experience journey. As the game results reaches us here in KUL, we will put all the scores into the KLYS website and facebook page for all members to see.
